In his most recent work, Ricardo Rendón focuses on the phenomenology of the sculptural act, which goes beyond the materiality of the work and is defined by the experience of inhabiting and perceiving the work.. Where it occurs, where it happens Part of a series of sculptural exercises in which the structure is modified through folds in steel sheets, inviting the viewer to observe, touch, and inhabit the sculpture from multiple perspectives. Light and the passage of time continually alter the space occupied by the works, a phenomenon the artist expands upon through cyanotypes made with photosensitive emulsion, creating a dialogue between sculpture and photography. The exhibition reflects on the time and place occupied by the composition, appealing to memory and questioning how we see and understand a three-dimensional work of art, inquiring into its landscape and architecture.
