EXHIBITION INFORMATION:

Colombia is a heterogeneous territory with similar but different neighbors. It has a logic where certain communities are discordant with others. Some implement their cultural, political and economic systems, in addition to phenomena of transculturation. Unlike other territories in the region, where there is a majority composition of European, African or indigenous origin, this is a place of miscegenation where all races come together and where the sense of belonging as a whole, as a country, is lost. This uncertainty is reflected in its representation as a map, a multiple and complex silhouette, made up of incidents, wars and treaties, and in which we see at the same time different identities and worlds: Caribbean, Pacific, Andean, Llanero and Amazonian. Colombia now has a mutilated form, it is about 30% of the country it wanted to be.
