EXHIBITION INFORMATION:

Made In is the latest project by Colombian artist Barbarita Cardozo. It is a complex investigation she developed over the course of three years as part of her master's degree studies at Central Saint Martins School of Art & Design in London.

Made In, is made up of three subseries (Instructions for use, Made In China and Nimble fingers) and all of them make strong references to the conditions under which the production of goods takes place in the world of fashion. Labor abuse, wage inequalities, tensions between the capitalist and communist worlds, etc. are some of the motivations that fueled Cardozo's research. Throughout this period of time and through his
Travels to Asia, where he studied this phenomenon, reveal the true conditions that fuel and underpin the world of glamour and sophistication sold by various Western brands.
