The work of Léster Rodríguez is developed from a continuous investigation into topics such as geography, regional crises and migration issues. His work investigates the existential implications of migrants from their motivations to the impact of different institutions on their circumstances. For this exhibition, Rodríguez reflects on territory understood in two ways: first, from a geopolitical conceptual framework, where a State is determined by limits drawn by shapes or geographical accidents, sometimes by arbitrary demarcations; and then, territory understood from groups of people, who can be affected by contextual determinations, which can lead to biopolitical consequences.
