There is in Luis Hernández Mellizo's projects a critical thought about work as a way of life. Plastic statements that discuss the historical meaning of productive activity that has been established as the only way to progress. And in that framework, he places the artist's craft as another one in the production chain that supports the economic apparatus that organizes the world. Now, these plastic statements have a convulsive character that points to the inconsistencies of that organizing entity. The objects, videos and paintings are not only telling us things about art but also about the current tensions between art, work and life. We are seduced by the beauty of the object as a work and as a thing in the world, which makes us wonder about the place of the work of art in the present time.
