The exploration of architectural structures and the experience of the body are central themes in ̈Dominios de vertigo ̈, the most recent project by Juan Fernando Herrán, in which he takes as a reference the former largest roller coaster in the state of Florida. Built in 1996, closed in 2011 and demolished in 2016.
In this project, Herrán makes different nocturnal photographic records in which he captures an aura of fiction, not only to talk about the escape from reality as a recurring characteristic of Western culture, but also to reflect on the processes of erosion and growth of the entertainment industry, which is condemned to constant renewal and change at increasingly dizzying rates.
