Adieu

Jaime Tarazona

EXHIBITION INFORMATION:

Are we leaving, or are we staying?
In his recent work, Jaime Tarazona takes his fascination with literature, film, and especially science fiction as a starting point to develop narratives and contrast realities. For this reason, he uses the monolith from Stanley Kubrick's film 2001: A Space Odyssey as a reference to reflect on modernism as a conceptual movement that ultimately became a utopia.

"Adieu," the artist's most recent work, questions some of the concerns of modern man, including his obsession with flying, leaving the present place and conquering the stars.
