ABOUT US

Nueveochenta opened its doors in March 2007 as a space dedicated to the promotion of contemporary Latin American art. The gallery places a special emphasis on the artistic and commercial development of a group of artists, both locally and internationally. It aims to expand its reach by forging connections with prominent foreign galleries for the exchange of artists and proposals.

The project is committed to fulfilling the essential roles of a gallery, with a strong focus on supporting the careers of the represented artists. It views its space as a vital resource for providing tools that help consolidate their artistic proposals.

Additionally, the gallery also hosts projects in El Patio and exhibitions in the Project Room, where artists who are not affiliated with the gallery can showcase their work. The physical space also includes a Documentation Center, which is open to the public and offers resources on art history and theory.
