It happens more often than you think that the spaces that surround us wear out their image in us, that is, they get lost in our interests and we stop perceiving them. The routine walks we take since waking up in the morning are devoid of any surprises. No one walks through their apartment expecting to find things different from how they left them the night before; everything remains intact (or at least that's how it seems to us).
The forgetfulness of the spaces we walk through every day is only countered by the surprise that something has changed. The sensation of something new in it, which makes it visible again. Thus, Beatriz Olano's work mainly explores the personal reconstruction of the spaces we walk through.
