Vanderlei Lopes's work focuses on a continuous search and analysis of the material transformations that occur in everyday events that affect our environment.
Thus, using elements such as gold, lead or bronze, which have a long tradition in the history of art, the artist recreates situations in which water is changing state, or simply refers to
its infinite possibilities of movement, thus contrasting with the rigidity of the noble materials it uses, as if it were also a matter of capturing “precious” moments.
