PROJECT INFORMATION:

My concern with how human beings appropriate and supersede nature allows me to establish a personal vision rooted in a system of opposing meanings, such as life and death. I'm interested in bringing opposites to a shared plane: contrasting materials of organic origin with those of artificial origin, merging the mineral kingdom (inert) with the animal kingdom (which is born, reproduces, and dies), or attempting to make what could be macabre appear beautiful and subtle.

The mediation between opposites I refer to in this work, from which the project's title is derived, has its origins in the child psychology term "transitional object." According to Winnicott, "the transitional object can be attacked, deformed, transformed, but always lovingly cared for.
It allows us to build an intermediate area between ourselves and reality." In this same way, I propose two personal and opposing positions in the project: Using as a working material, and without scruples, the skin that was part of an animal that in turn inspires the most affectionate feelings. TRANSICIONALES is located within the blurred margin that exists between indifference and morality in terms of animality.
