In Juan Rodríguez Varón's work, attention is focused on the nature of spaces (interior and exterior) and their context: light, atmosphere, colors, shapes, the uses associated with the place, and everything it contains. From the beginning of his practice, the artist has been interested in the painting process, a tool that has allowed him to approach his references from a contemplative perspective. This approach values the subtleties that awaken his attention, the discovery of elements, and their synthesis, while allowing him to explore the properties of matter and the behavior of objects.
