Nicolás Beltrán's work stems from his interest in manipulating the image in order to alter the viewer's response to it. This has led him to evaluate his own gaze, not only in relation to painting but also to a series of situations that form part of our everyday imagination. In his most recent project, Enchapes, the artist explores the reflections, movement and distortion generated by the light that falls on the water dammed up on bathroom tiles, focusing his attention on an everyday situation that forces us to look down, to break into the image, to frame it in a specific experience.
