In Vital Dynamics, Teresa Sánchez addresses a series of interests that have been recurrent in her most recent work. First, the artist starts from the action of carving the void, through which she explores the intersection between drawing and sculpture. This exercise allows her to delimit continuous lines that in turn configure different volumes, resulting in a series of light sculptures that seem to float in space. On the other hand, Sánchez appeals to the organic forms present in the Atlantic region of Colombia, returning to the mangrove, that intricate ecosystem that exactly three decades ago gave her the opportunity to talk about drawing from sculpture.
