PROJECT INFORMATION:

What do familiar places hide? What storm lurks in our paradise?
A peaceful living room with an old television; an immaculate desk; a foosball table; six photographs; and a rug make up the installation "East of Paradise" by artist Nohemí Pérez.
Everything is arranged to invite us to pause, to rest. Each seemingly harmless object reveals itself to us, inevitably linking the fragmented history of the country's recent history.
Once there, the 80's "traqueto" television, which was originally just a collector's item or a prop, as it was for the television series about Rodríguez Gacha, surprises us by showing us, over and over again, the transmission of a football match interspersed with images of the taking of the palace.
