Auction on the Rueda Rueda

Dear friends
For the second consecutive year, the Fundación a la Rueda Rueda will hold an auction on October 8 at the GUN Club. We share the participation of artists represented by Nueveochenta.

Ana Mercedes Hoyos
Ñuro Di Vitilo Di Monasita, 2013

Ana Mercedes Hoyos was always fascinated by black culture. Zeneida, the Palenquera, was the starting point for her approach to the customs of this population and her interest in the subject of slavery. She had a deep historical sensitivity. In addition to capturing the colorful aesthetics of the culture of our black people in her work, her research and documentation of the history, language, culture and music of San Basilio were her inspiration and marked a large part of her work.

John Castles
Suspended Overlap, 2010

In John Castles' work, one can perceive a structured and disciplined approach that is projected onto the figures, as well as a conscious handling and abstract study of space. With an immense capacity for synthesis, Castles creates works full of meaning. The artist works with steel in a process that mixes the industrial with the artistic.

Juan Carlos Delgado
Lamp, 2015

Juan Carlos Delgado's work spans different media such as photography, painting and installation. Throughout his career, he has been interested in themes with a strong literary, historical and visual charge. His work is undoubtedly nourished by personal memories that evoke experiences or journeys, and also by other broader concepts such as time, the fragility of boundaries and the relationships between life and death.
