We are pleased to invite you to the upcoming exhibition at Nueveochenta.
The Marc Straus Gallery in New York in collaboration with Nueveochenta present Structures of meaning, a collective exhibition that brings together a selection of artists from its program: Edgar Orlaineta, Ozioma Onuzulike, Jong Oh, Natasha Das, Clive Smith, Anna Leonhardt, Jeanne Silverthorne and Antonio Santín.
The exhibition offers a specific exploration of how contemporary practices use material, form, and narrative as frameworks through which meaning is constructed, destabilized, and reimagined.
Encompassing sculpture, painting, textiles, and object-based works, the exhibition focuses on artists who challenge conventional hierarchies between object and image, function and abstraction. Throughout the show, materials are not merely vehicles of form, but active agents that shape perception, inviting the viewer into a space where interpretation remains open and multifaceted.
The exhibition opens on June 4th and can be visited until July 9th.
