Balneario is an exhibition that can be considered literal, due to its title and the pieces that make it up: a parasol, a chair, a frog game and other elements that anyone can imagine in a space with this name. The interesting thing happens when the spectator enters and experiences the space. The place is a spa drawn with an impeccable metallic line; it is a large-scale spatial drawing. The spatial drawings are sculptures built with wire and in them, Adriana Ramírez inverts the logical and geometric process of drawing. If in real life the line does not exist –what is perceived as a line–
In reality it is the encounter between planes and the effect of light on them - in spatial drawings the line only suggests the planes, giving the guideline for each viewer to reconstruct the physical paths and qualities of each object (material, texture, weight, colour), from or with their a priori experience.
