Esteban Peña Parga

Throughout his career, Esteban Peña has explored notions such as the perception of colours and the reproducibility of images, as well as ideas about the construction of social conventions and their materialisation in specific visual elements. Humour is often present in a transversal way in his work. Using painting, drawing and new media, Peña meticulously creates images where tensions appear between the analogue and the digital, high and low culture, the local and the international. He has exhibited in cities such as London, Edinburgh, Birmingham, Chicago, Mexico City, Bogotá and Medellín, and his work is part of the collection of the Museo de Antioquia. He lives and works in the United Kingdom.
