Beatriz Olano (Medellín, 1965) creates artwork that explores how perception of space
can be altered. Her approach often reflects her background as a painter, incorporating
aspects of drawing, sculpture, and installation. In her work, she discovers, deconstructs,
and reconfigures objects, materials, and spaces to impart new meanings that transform
their realities and blur the boundaries between them. Her work is included in collections
such as those of the Museo de Arte Moderno de Medellín and the Museo de Antioquia
and has been exhibited in cities such as New York, Madrid, Bern, and Rio de Janeiro.”
