EXHIBITION INFORMATION:

In the work of Juan Carlos Delgado, different concerns coexist, associated with the conceptual values of painting and the means of representing images, understood as metaphors of time and as methods of translating memory. His work is developed from a series of divergent relationships (light and shadow, life and death, the earthly and the mystical), associated with a set of personal narratives that intersect with historical facts and references to the history of art. The process of creating his works adds another formal and conceptual dimension to the pieces. His language appeals to the symbolic nature of the materials, establishing a correspondence between the temporal meaning of the works and the evocation of the spiritual through the repetition and reiteration of forms.
