Juan Carlos Delgado's work develops from an interest in memory, drawing on symbolic references that connect with a series of meanings associated with spirituality, the transformation of the individual, and the dichotomous relationship between life and death, light and darkness, experience and reminiscence. In his most recent project, the artist returns to the romantic notion of the cliff to establish a parallel between the abrupt and diffuse silhouette of this geographical feature and the impossibility of retaining clear memories of the experiences that mark us as individuals.
