BIOGRAPHY:

Teresa Sánchez (Santa Marta, 1957) is one of the most notable sculptors in Colombian art. Her work focuses on abstract compositions that allude to nature and a desire to capture the essential. Similarly, her work profoundly explores wood and its possibilities, as well as the materials she works with. Sánchez holds a degree in Fine Arts from Jorge Tadeo Lozano University. She has exhibited at the Museum of Modern Art in Bogotá, the Zenú Museum of Contemporary Art, the Museum of Modern Art in Cartagena, and the Bogotá Chamber of Commerce.
