Marcela Cárdenas

Marcela Cárdenas's (Medellín, 1973) artistic production revolves around a formal exploration of the biological processes of human beings. Her sculptures, installations and illustrations explore the boundaries between the inert and the organic, proposing a view of nature that is articulated through the hybridization of the animal, vegetal and mineral kingdoms. Her work is part of the collection of the Banco de la República de Colombia and has been exhibited in cities such as Bogotá, Medellín and Madrid. She lives and works in Medellín.
